Tagus River Path

The Tagus River path is a fun route to take with you friends or family on rental bikes! You'll see many bikers on this path, both tourists and locals, as you cruise along the Tagus River for 20 km.

Two highlights of this path include Lisbon's famous city square of Praça de Comercio, and Belem Square, both locations rich with history!

Rent a road bike or city bike to do this tour, and if you're traveling with a less experienced cyclist, electric bike rentals are a great option too!

Jardim Olavo Bilac - quiosque Ribeira

This bike tour follows along Libson's Atlantic coast, with fantastic sights of the ocean you won't want to miss.

With your bike hire you'll begin at the central train station called Alcantara-Terra. This way, you don't even have to find a shop to rent a bike, you can begin to explore as soon as you get off the train!

On your bike rental, you'll head to the coastal greenway that runs along Avenida 24 de Julio until you reach Parque das Nações. The greenway offers protection from the streets so you and riders like you can relax and enjoy a safer ride.

Distance Biking

Outside of Lisbon there are great options to take your bike rental on a longer journey. Weather your a drop down handle bar rider, or touring bike rider, Portugal is ideal for long distance biking with gorgeous weather, few big hills to climb, and many options for one day trips for any visitors.

Padrão dos descobrimentos - Doca de Alcantara

This route is 51 km and will take about five hours to accomplish with a touring bike rental.

Start in the Lisbon city center and bike along the greenway or "ciclovia Avenida" south towards Doca de Alcantara.

Continue strait to pass through the city neighbourhood of Belem, then finally exit off of the greenway onto the road once you reach Avenida Antonio Forlêncio de Santos in Caxai.

Once you are on the road, cycle north towards Massamá. You will encounter a few rolling hills, but no major climbs.

Once you've sent you booking request to the lister and the lister has approved it, the exact location of the bike rental pick up will become visible on the map.

You will also have the ability to direct message the lister through our platform. Here you can discuss with the lister what time works best for both of you to pick up and return your bike rental.

If you are renting from bike company, make sure that you are able to pick up and return within business hours.

Payment Info

The price of the bike rental is determined by the lister and is based on the value of the bike. On top of that, you will pay a small service fee. A detailed breakdown of what you will pay is available on the bike detail page once you add the bike to your cart.

Renting Accessories

Whether you are renting electric, road, city or mountain bikes, you are able to add additional accessories to your rental as long as they are from the same lister.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel your booking, the following applies:

72 hours or more before the start of the rental: full refund, including the service fee and Basic Protection.
48 to 72 hours before the start: refund of 75% of the rental price.
24 to 48 hours before the start: refund of 50% of the rental price.
8 to 24 hours before the start: refund of 25% of the rental price.
Less than 8 hours before the start: no refund of the rental price.

If you cancel less than 72 hours before the start, the service fee and Basic Protection are not refunded, while delivery and the lister's extras are refunded in full. If the lister cancels, you always get the full amount back.

How do I contact the lister?

You can message the Lister through the chat on "My bookings" once you have submitted your booking request. You can cancel it free of charge as long as it is not confirmed.

How can I pay for my booking?

Before you can request a bike, you need to enter your payment details so the amount can be reserved. Payment only takes place after the Lister has accepted your request. If you withdraw the request beforehand or the Lister rejects it, your account will not be debited. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPal as payment methods. We're working on more options though - check back soon.

What happens if my rental bike is stolen or damaged?

Every rental in the European Economic Area includes Basic Protection from ListNRide. Its price depends on the rental period and the bike's value. ListNRide pays a fixed share of the costs for theft, for repairs (including scratches and dents) and for lost accessories, twice as much with Protection Plus. You'll find all amounts in the Protection Terms. Basic Protection is a ListNRide service, not an insurance policy. The lister should give you a suitable lock. Always lock the bike to a fixed object, and ideally keep it in a locked room overnight. If something happens, please report it to us right away.
